Reflecting on 2018

As 2018 is almost coming to an end, I would like to take this time to reflect on the year. This year has been very busy. I am greatly appreciative of the support and interest from all my customers. I can’t thank you enough liking my work, as a designer.

Going to Ottawa twice in the Fall  was a real treat. I thought the summer would slow down a bit, but instead it was even busier. I didn’t anticipate wedding orders and a lot of custom bag orders. Of course, it was summer, so it was also busy doing more outdoor activities with the boys. Anyhow, I did take a few days off in September to enjoy Fall in Ottawa and it really is a spectacular city. Being the capital city of Canada, that’s also where our parliament is.

Here’s Christian and I in the Ottawa Byward Market area. We only had a few days in September there and returned for 3 more days at the end of October.

Bag-wise, I launched the backpack strap customization this past summer. It was something I had in my mind for a while. I wanted a bag that was very versatile; a bag that can be a tote, a crossbody bag and a backpack (depending on what the customer needs).

In Ottawa with my Medium Zipper Tote with backpack straps added.

There were many custom bag orders this year. This one is a Large Carrier Tote with custom colours: black with a midnight blue bottom.

Custom bags with luggage strap customizations were popular this year. Many customers were using their bag for everyday and as a carry-on when needed.
