Greek Day Vancouver 2014
My boys and I went to Greek Day on Broadway this past weekend. It happens only once a year and this is an event that has been going on for over 40 years. The turnout was amazing. About 100,000 people came out for this, that’s almost 1/5th of Vancouver’s population!
Broadway was closed from McDonald to Blenheim Street, in the Kitsilano neighbourhood, and there was plenty to see. The grills were loaded with skewers of lamb, chicken, and pork. I love barbeque and it smelled great! There were also plenty of other vendors selling clothes, jewelry, ceramics and other gourmet foods.
It’s a great event and I’ll definitely be back next year for it.
