18th Annual Ladner Village Market – 2014

We had lovely weather this weekend in Vancouver. My husband and I took our little guy and my parents to the 18th annual Ladner Village Market and it was a lot of fun. Having lived in Vancouver for over 30 years this is my first time in Ladner. It originally was a fishing village in the suburb of Delta, a 30 minute drive south of Vancouver. It’s a charming little place with a very small town feel.

The Ladner Village Market is an open air-market that spans 4 blocks. There were about 150 vendors selling their goods from farmers, artisan food makers to craftspeople. Some of the things you will see are farm fresh produce, flowers, plants, hand-crafted jewellery, ceramics, clothing, beauty products, glass art, paintings and a lot of food products.

This is the first market of the year, but it runs two Sundays a month during the summer. I would suggest coming early, as we got there at 10:15 am and it took us 40 minutes to find a parking spot. Oh, and bring cash!

Date and Hours for 2014:

modern-coup-ladner-village-market-2014-chiliI spotted these cauldrons filled with chili. Does anything ever not taste good when cooked in a cauldron?
